Set in the beautiful blue glass country, where they breed gallant people and thoroughbred horses (as well as colonels), this heart-racing love drama has many headlong thrills in store for audiences. Featured in the leading roles are Paul Campoeii, Gloria Henry and Harry Davenport. Mark Dennis, Harry Cheshire and Clinton Rosemand have other important parts. This warm-hearted adventure is the story of an old Southern gentleman who stoutly persists in realizing his dream: of some day winning the big race with his favourite colt —although he faces the obstacles of financial impoverishment How he succeeded in entering the horse, which wins, thereby helping to re-unite two young lovers is said to be as thrilling a tale at a photo finish. “JUNGLE FLIGHT”

Paramount’s aviation action drama “Jungle Flight” with a cargo of thrills, chills and adventure is headed for the Opera House to-morrow, with Robert Lowery and Ann Savage in leading roles. The story deals with sky vagabonds who fly anything anywhere for pay, gambling their lives against the final pay-off, and of a girl from nowhere, who dares the jungle’s dangers to escape a man’s treacherous love.

Esther Williams, Jimmy Durante, Lauritz Melchior, Johnnie Johnston and Xavier Cugat and his orchestra take you on a delightful joy-ride in M.G.M.’s light-hearted new techmcolour musical, “This Time for Keeps,’ which is the current attraction at the Regent Theatre. An adroitly written scripe about conflicts between an opera star and his crooner son; also between a society girl and an aquatic queen offers a tailor-made role for each of the stellar participants. Esther Williams dazzles in water routines which first made her famous. Johnnie Johnston is an attractive leading man, sings “S’no Wonder.” I Love f-o Dance,” “I’ll Be with You in Apple Blossom Time,” “Easy to Love and “Why Don’t They Let Me Sing a Love Song.” Durante and Melchior contrive to break up the young romancers and later plot to bring them together again. Melchior sings Easy to Love.” the charming “Danish Children’s Song,” “Donna E Mobile” and “Ora E Per Sempre Addio.” contrasted with such Durante ditties as “Don’t Say it With Ink,” “Ten Per cent. Off” and his inimitable version of “Why Don’t They Let Me Sing a Love Song.” Others include. Dame May Whitty in an amusing portrayal of a worldly-wise grandmother, singing Dorothy Porter, dancing Tommy Wonder, Sharon McManus, Dick Simmons and Mary Stuart.
