ARABS FORM GOVERNMENT FOR ALL PALESTINE
Fighting Again Likely
(Rec 10.35) LONDON, Sept 17. . An Arab Government to rule “all Palestine” was formed, last night. This is reported by a Daily Mail correspondent at Beirut. The president is Ahamedl Hilmi Pasha. The Mufti of Jerusalem a cousin of Jamal Bey Husseini is the Premier. 'the Israeli Prime Minister, Mr Moshe Shertok, declared that the two mouths’ ’•shooting truce” in Palestine was unsatisfactory because the observation teams were unable to enforce its conditions, says the Associated Press Tel Aviv correspondent. Colonel Yigel Yadin, operations chief of the Israeli general staff, said the truce would end in the very near future. He added that heavy Arab concentrations of men and equipment suggested a large-scale attack was imminent. An Israeli communique said the Zion sector of Jerusalem was heavily shelled by Arabs yesterdav and to-day. The British United Press correspondent at Beirut says the Arab Higher Committee announced that a Palestine Arab Government would be set up within 24 hours, probably at Nablus or Gaza. • ■
