Auckland Bus Drivers’ Award

AUCKLAND, September 16.

A unanimous decision to reject the proposals of the Auckland Provincial Employers’ Association concerning the new award was made to-day at a stonwork meeting of about 250 bus drivers, called by the .Auckland Drivers’ Union. They decided to obtain immediately an agreement for all omnibus drivers within 25 miles of the Auckland Chief Pose Office. The employers h.|d proposed . that the new agreement be discussed on the basis of. the Dominion, award, which the union contends offers less acceptable conditions than the agreement which has been operating for the Auckland area and which has expired.
