(Reuter —N.Z.P.A.) (Rec. 9.30) . RANGOON, Sept. 16 The Sawba of Mongmit, who is head of the Shan State in Eastern Burma, said in a broadcast that plans have been discovered for simultaneous uprisings through the Shan territory, by armed insurrectionists, for the overthrow of the established Government. ■ The Shan authorities were prepared to take strong action to maintain order. Twenty-two Communist-led rebels were killed and 29 captured in a battle with Government forces in the Mandalay district, says a Government communique.
