CRICKET MARIST CLUB’S ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the Marist Old Boys’ Cricket Club was held last evening, when the president’s report and the balance-sheet were received as satisfactory. The election of officers resulted as follows: Patron, Mr T. O’Callaghan, senr.: spiritual director, Rev. Father Farrell; hon. vicepresident, Rev. Bro. Maurice; president, Mr J. Knowles; acting secre-tary-treasurer, Rev. Bro: Maurice; auditor. Mr J. O’Donnell (re-elected); delegates to W.C.C.A., Messrs S. G?rforth and W. Hamilton: club captain, Mr >O. Morris: custodian, Mr S. Garforth: selectors: senior, Mr O. Morris; junior, Mr T. Pfahlert: committee, Messrs T. Henley, C. Knapp, T. 1 Pfahlert, J. Knowles, J. Morris, J. Cornish, S. Garforth. W. Hamilton, R. Methven, J. Finerty, B. Rathbun.

All vice-presidents were re-elected with power to add. It was resolved that the club’s delegates to the Association advocate that the main competition consist of four teams; that matches be commenced not earlier than 11 a.rm; and that every endeavour be made to form an Umpires’ Association for the West Coast.

It was decided that, in the meantime, the club nominate a senior and junior team, with a junior team in addition from the Marist High School.
