■ The suggestion that Runanga, should- contribute £lOO towards the cost of the celebrations for the Royal visit, was not altogether favoured by the Borough Council at its meeting •m Tuesday. Cr S. Pattinson. for a 21-year lease of section 10, block 6 (Dunollie); J. C. Smith for a renewal of his 21-year lease of section 7, block 35. It was decided to support the Westland Progress League in its efforts to secure a resident magistrate on the Wiest Coast. Buildings permits valued at £1750 were granted.
