DOCTORS’ OATH ON CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY

(Rec. 10.0) LONDON, Sept. 15 The Hippocratic Oath, which all doctors have taken for more than 2500 years is to be amended to include a pledge that- the doctor will not participate in crimes against humanity, whatever the threats or the pressure that is brought against him. This was decided on at the annual congress of the World Medical Association, which has just concluded in Geneva. Dr Charles Hili, secretary of the British Medical Association, who attended the congres said, on his return to London last night, that the medical profession had been appalled by the crimes committed by Nazi doctors under Hitler. v
