Laundry Charges Increase Refused

AUCKLAND, Sept 7. The decision of the Price Tribunal issued tc-day on the application /of the Auckland Laundrymen, Dyers and Dry Cleaners’ Association for authority to increase laundry charges, declines the application. The Tribunal states, however, .that a separate application for an increase by the Auckland Laundry Company Ltd., might have some justification and the tribunal was prepared to consider the application of that company, if the company so desired. The tribunal, in declining the application, stated that the industry as a whole was well able to absorb increased costs.
