The Inangahua Food for Britain Campaign, August collection was as follows :— District High School, £2 18s 6d; Mrs Ha’fdie (Business (Premises) £o 2s 6d; .Mrs Gough (Walshe Street) £2 17s 6d; Mrs Sharpe (Bridge ot.) £4 12s; Mrs W. Gilmour (Upper and Lower Broadway) £1; Mrs C. Smith (Terrace) £1 ss; Mrs Palmer (-Shiel Street) £1 15s; Mrs Rosanowsxi (Buller Road) £1 15s 6d; Mrs Nicholls (Black’s Point) July £3 3s; August £2 14; Mrs S. Flunt (Walshe St. west) July £1 16s; August £2 3s 6d; Reef ton Coal Owners’ Association £5 ss; Mrsi Crosman (Rosstown) July £1 19s; August £1 14s 6d. Last week’s loqal production was 2448 tons. Good progress is being made with the new nurses’ home. The framework of the second storey on both wings o fthe main building is in position and work on the entrance of the ground floor is proceeding. Preparations for the foundations of the laundry and boiler house have also , commenced. '
