There were only a few horses at work yesterday morning. Chianti (R. Shaw) finished slightly in front of Early Astir (Barr) after sprinting a half in 50sec. Cricket Field (R. Frame) streaked over five in 65sec on the outside of the trestles. Flying Orders and Precipitate did pace work. K. Ford and C. T. Wilson will be here to ride at the Westport meeting.
