LOUISIANA POLICE SEARCHING'FOR PAIR OF MURDERERS

(Received September 7, 9.10 p.m.) NEWi YORK, September 6. A murderous exploit by two men in New Orleans, is reported by the correspondent of the United Press there. Two men, one of whom had earlier accused the other of stealing from him, shot and killed a policeman while they were being driven to a police station. They robbed another policeman. Then they stole a civilian’s car. They next shot theii’ way out of the basement of the Criminal Court, to where they drove mistakenly, and they kidnapped John Jackson, Assistant-Chief of the New Orleans detectives, outside an adjoin_ng police station. The United Press correspondent says that police, who fear Jackson has already been murdered, are searching throughout Louisiana for the men.
