ANTI-TITO OFFICER FAILS TO ESCAPE FROM YUGOSLAVIA
(Rec. 11.10) BELGRADE, Sept. 7 The omcial Yugoslav Government News Agency has announced that Colonel Vlado Dapcevic was captured on Saturday night on the Hungarian border. Colonel Dapcevic was with Colonel-General Jovanovich on August 12. last when a guard on the Rumanian border killed General Jovanovitch in an attempt to flee from Yugoslavia, as cabled on August 18. I’he Yugoslav Ministry of the Interior in a communique, stated: The Yugoslav Security police, at first. be : lieved and announced, that Colonel Dapcevic had escaped across the frontier into Rumania. However, a search for him was continued, and thanks to the vigilance of Frontier Guards, Colonel Dapcevic did not succeed in also said: “Branko Petricevic, (who was wounded, ana captured when he was attempting to flee with General Jovanovitch) and Colonel Dapcevic have admitted their guilt. They have revealed all of tne circumstances which led to this isolated group to commit their act of treason.” —
