A report that the trawler Nile, en route from Greymouth to Jackson Bay, under charter, with supplies, might have to return to Greymouth on account of adverse weather, was described by a chartering oil firm last evening as groundless. The Nile radioed last evening, giving her position as 15 miles from Jackson Bay at seven o’clock. At 11 .p.m. she reported having arrived off the bay in favourable weather, the intention being to remain in the roadstead until this morning.
