N.S.W. BOOKLET FOR NEWLYWEDS AGAINST DIVORCE
(Rec. 9.0). SYDNEY, Sept. 6. All couples in New South Wales, who intend to marry, will receive a marriage guidance booklet from the State Government. The RegistrarGeneral, Mr T. Wells,, said that all District Registrars would Issue the booklet to couples contemplating a civil marriage. Distribution by ministers for church weddings would be optional ,but all denominations had approved of the booklet. The first 10,000 copies would be ready for distribution next week. The booklet contains an explanation of marriage as “a union dissolved only by death”; advice against deliberate abstention from having children, and suggestions to both parties for medical examinations before marriage.
