M.B.O.B Jubilee Ball Attracted Large Crowd To Sturge Street Hall

Morethan 500 dancers attended the Marist Rugby League Club’s Jubilee ball at the Sturge Street Hall last 211 Honoured guests of the evening were the Rev. Father A. Kennedy, of St Bede’s College, Christchurch, the Rev. Father J. Daly, and Rev. Brother Maurice, Director of the Marist Brothers’ High School, Greymouth, and Brother Eric of Christchurch. Other guests were the members or the- West Coast Basketball team who tied with Marlborough in the final of the New Zealand championships in New Plymouth. , , Messrs P. Sweetman, senior and junior, were in control of the floor, while the Mayfair dance band’provided the music.
