WAIKATO COAL STRIKE NOT YET SETTLED

AUCKLAND, Sept 2. A meeting of 200 out of the 640 workers employed at the Macdonald Glen Afton and Pukemiro mines today, by 16 to 40, affirmed a decision to continue on strike and to request the national executive of the Mme Workers’ Union to visit Huntly as soon as possible. The national executive has advised the men to resume, work and have the dispute settled by constitutional means.
