BASKETBALL Basketball Team’s Welcome Home
A large crowd welcomed home the first West Coast basketball team to < win a New Zealand championship title, on Monday. There were twelve players, with the managers, Miss 1. Stewart and Mrs A. Newton. The team was greeted by Messrs F. W. Baillie (West Coast Rugby Union), 1. F. McKenzie (West Coast Rugby League), W. Newton (W est R po a g Hockey Association), 1. p/ acK ‘ e (Grey Athletic Club), and Mrs E. Rodger (president of the West Coast Basketball Association).
