BILLIARDS WEST COASTER’S WINNING FORM AT DUNEDIN
P.A. DUNEDIN, September 1. The second round of the New Zealand amateur billiards championship commenced to-day, when fine breaks of 146 and 95 were made by A. Twohill, of Greymouth; while L. Stout (Wellington) made a break of 116, and W. Smith (Christchurch) one of 113.
In yesterday’s matches, A. Twohill (Greymouth) was not engaged, the contestant playing W. Smith (who won 666 to 126) having been the Dunedin player, A. Tohill (not Twohill).
To-day’s results were as follows: — A. Twohill (Greymouth) beat A. Albertson (Auckland) by 666 to 235. The best breaks were: Twohill: 146, 95, 53, 46, 45, 35, 33; average 14.8. Albertson: 32, 28, 27; average 5.3. W. Smith (Christchurch) beat L. Stout (Wellington) by 666 to' 423. Best .breaks: Smith: 113, 73, 70, 43, 39 32, 29, 27, 23, 22, 21, 20; average 16.2. Stout: 116, 49, 41, 40, 35, 25, 23, 22; average 10.3. •
