DIRTY MILK BOTTLES

WELLINGTON, Aug 31. Complaints about dirty milk bottles in Palmerston North and Christchurch, were mentioned by the Minister of Health, Hon. Miss Mabel Howard, at the conference to-day of the New Zealand local milk authorities. “Things are not going well in some districts,” said the Minister. “We are having complaints about dirt and I hope this conference will be able to help to clear them up. “Milk is one of the recognised basic foods,” she said. “We have had complaints from Palmerston North about filthy bottles and on Saturday I got examples of. this in Christchurch. I hope when things are finalised in Christchurch, something will be done about this.”
