Yesterday’s airways passengers at Westport were:—From Greymouth, Mr. G. Grooby; from Wellington, Mr. D. Archer, Miss J. Adams; from Nelson, Mrs. M. Treuge; for Nelson, Mrs. Flanigan, Mrs. Brown and two infants, Mr. R. Brown; for Wellington, Mr. G. H. Fraser, Mrs. G. H. Fraser and infant, Misses V. and G. Fraser; for Palmerston North, Mr. H. Halliday. The death occurred at the residence of her daughter, Mrs J. Marshall, Romilly Street, Westport, yesterday morning, of Mrs Jessie Stewart, widow, of Mr John Stewart, of Millerton. Born in Scotland 78 years ago, the late Mrs Stewart came to New Zealand 37 years ago, and had since resided in Millerton. She leaves three sons., John and James (Millerton), David (Wellington), also three daughters, Mesdames Plummer (Christchurch), and Marshall (Westport), and Miss Agnes Stewart (Melbourne). Mr W. H. Roche, of Westport, and Mr J. R. McKenzie, of Christchurch, will attend the trotting championships and conference in Australia in February next.
