Alterations Made In The Rules P.A. NEW PLYMOUTH, Aug. 30 a" reversion to the rule concerning stepping that was previously in force, was a major adjustment by the Council of the New Zealand Basketball Association at New Plymouth tonight, after a conference with the officials of the All Australia Womens Basketball Association. Other adjustments were made in the rules, and the officials of both countries expressed the view that, in consequence a further interchange of visits would be made more practicable. The President of the New Zealand Association. Mrs H. D. Muir, said that the Council’s decisions regarding the rules would come into force in the 1949 season. The conditions under which games between Australia and New Zealand will be played in future will be decided after consultation with the affiliated Associations in the two countries. Australia will continue to play seven-a-side and New Zealand nine-a-side.
