The loose box accommodation has been increased and steps are being taken to arrange for a still larger number of boxes before the meeting next montji.. The organisation of the working bee under the direction of Mr T. M Scanlon, to carry out the work brought recollections of the part played by members when forming the present race course and was a practical reminder that the club still has a large proportion of enthusiastic and energetic members. It was pleasing to be able to record that starting stalls were used for the first time on the West Coast at the meeting! for the six furlong races and proved a decided success. The report referred, with regret to the death of Messrs A. Morley, A. Craddock, J. Nottle and Mrs C. Vilaglich all of whom had served the club well.
