SYDNEY, Aug. 10. The Daily Telegraph has published a cablegram from London, saying that the 1950 Empire Games will be held in New Zealand. The cablegram adds that the Bntish Empire Games Committee decided this by 11 votes to two. , The committee rejected Canadas claim that the games should be held in that Dominion. WELLINGTON, Aug. 10.. The New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association has received no official information about the allocation of the next Empire Games to New Zealand. The chairman of the association, Mr H. I. Austad, said that it was known the matter was to be discussed by representatives of the British Empire Games Association at a special meeting during the Olympic Games in London.
