GOLF Ikamatua Club

The Ikamatua Women’s Golf Club held its competition for the Crawford Cup during the week-end. The event was won by Mrs Campbell with a score of 217. Miss O’Malley with a score of 119 points was run-ner-up. The Green Cup was won by Mrs William with a score of 258 for three rounds. The runner-up was Mrs Broughton with 262 points. Best cards returned in the final round were:-—Mrs Blackie 101/32/69; Miss O’Malley 99/28/71; , Mrs Gardyne 91/19/72; Mrs Purvis 92/20/72; Mrs Mclnroe 105/29/76. Fitzgerald 3 and 1; Bannan beat Williams 1 up at the 20th. Junior.—J. Hampton beat Blackie 4 and 3; J. Fitzgerald beat Shuttleworth 1 up. In the D.C.L. Cup semi-final, White beat Bannan one up, and will meet J. Fitzgerald in the final. T’he, annual match between the president’s and the secretary’s team resulted in a win for the secretary’s team by 775 points to 807 points. The best scores were:—Gardvne 75/4/71; J. D. O’Malley 84/12/72; Shuttleworth 102/29/73; Nolan 90/17 /73; and J. Hampton 97/24/73. The sealed hole competition was won by D. Mcßae with a score of 20 points. The runner-up was A. Nolan with 21.
