(Rec. 10.50). . SYDNEY, Aug. 9. A London cable, published in the “Sydney Sun” savs that the next Empire Games has been allotted to New Zealand. Commenting on the report, an Empire Games official, Mr H. G. Aiderson said to-day that the staging of the Games in New Zealand would be a great thing for Australia, \yho thus would be able to have a big representation. The athletes would be able to do most of their training in Australia and then fly the Tasman Sea and arrive in first-class condition, tie added that Canada was after the 1950 Games and it was a surpise that they went to New Zealand.
