SOVIET GETS PLENTY URANIUM ORE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA

(Rec. 10.20). WASHINGTON, Aug. 8. Representative Karl Stefan, Republican Nebraska, declared to-day that Russia was operating uranium mines of Czechoslovakia in a desperate effort to develop an atomic bomb. Mr Stefan has recently returned from a tour of Europe. He said that Russia in 1945 took over Czech uianium mines at Jacymov, and by working the mines with German prisoners under dangerous conditions, Russia had boosted the production to two hundred tons of uranium ore per annum.
