PERTH CHILD PATIENT'S ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Master Maurice Mews, aged 14, who has for two years been, with his sister Ann, an inmate of the Perth Children’s Elospitai, requested in June last, for New Zealand stamps and pen friends in a letter to the Mayor of Greymouth (Mr F. F. Boustridge). In a further letter, Master Mews, on July 11, wrote acknowledging a response to his appeal: —“Mr J. Minchin, C/o Grey River Argus, Greymouth, West Coast, New Zealand.—Dear Sir, I am writing to thank you and the staff for the paper and stamps which I received to-day. Ann also wants me to thank you, as she can’t write herself. She is fiat on her back, and it’s a bit difficult foi’ her. 1 have had several replies with stamps. Well I must close now, thanking you again. —yours sincerely, Maurice Mews”.
