The latest line on the projected Royal wedding, from Lausanne, Switzerland, is that Major Vergotti, formerly King Michael’s aide-de-camp, said that he Michael and Prim cess Anne would be married in Athens at the end of next week. • Princess Anne would arrive at Lausanne today.

A London cable says Sir Lindo Ferguson. the Dunedin eye specialist, who died in January, left in England an estate valued at ES49O, from which he left £lOOO to the New Zealand Medical Benevolent Fund, £5OO to the New Zealand Nurses’ Memorial Fund, and six pictures to the Dunedin Art Gallery.

Messrs D. D. Archer, R. G. Cunliffe, C. H. Thomas, I. L. Tyler and the Hon. W. H. Mclntyre M.L.C., have been apnointec members of the Buller Milk Board for three years from May 27.

Princess Anne of Bourbon-Parma, said before she left Copenhagen byair to join ex-King Michael of RRumania in Switzerland, that she would never renounce her Roman Catholic faith, reports the correspondent of the Associated Press in Copenhagen-

Mrs Margaret Roach, a for»ier well-known West Coast resident died at her home, 26 Kinghorne Street, Miramar, Wellington, yesterday morning. The late Mrs Roach, who was a member of the Mears family of Brunnerton and about 66 years of age, had resided in Wellington for a number of years, is survived by her husband, Mr John Roach, one daughter, Eileen, and one son, John, all of Wellington. She leaves also her brother, Mr M. Mears, Chapel Street, Gneymcjuth. The funeral takes place at Wellington to-morrow.

A London cable announces that Buckingham Falace has stated that Princess Elizabeth will not undertake any public engagements after the end of June. This is the first official indication that the Princess, who was married, to the Duke of Edinburgh on November 20 last, is expecting a baby. Doctors in attendance on the Princess are likely to be Sir John Weir, Physician to the King, and Phvsiciani-n-Crdinary to Queen Mary, who was the first homeopathist anpointed to the Royal Family; Dr Ivan Magill, the famous anaesthetist, and Mr Cedric LaneRoberts, a gynaecologist, and one of Britain’s foremost obstetricians.
