LONDON, June 3. The Oaks resulted: Masaka 1, AngeTola 2, Folie II 3. Won by six lengths; three ' The largest, field for 100 years and the second largest in history took part in the race, which was run in heavy rain. M’asaka, which is owned by the Aga Knan, was always well placed and took the lead soon after passing Tattenham Corner. She drew clear in the straight to win easily, defeating His Majesty’s Angqlola. which made up some ground in the straight. The King and Queen and Princess Elizabeth and other members of the Royal family attended. A high wind blew down an elm tree on to a private car in Surrey Street a few seconds before the King and Queen were due to pass on their way to the racecourse, and the police diverted the Royal car through a farm.
