Greek Guerrillas’ Surrender Move
ATHENS, June 2. “The Greek guerrillas must surrender unconditionally or be exterminated,” said the Foreign Minister (Mr Tsaldaris), referring to the guerrilla proposal for peace. The Prime Minister (Mr Sofoulis) declared that the broadcast was either a sign of weakness or a bluff to gain time to recover. If the guerrillas were sincere, why had they not accepted the Government’s amnesty offer?
