THE TURF
NEW C.J.C. PRESIDENT Mr A. T. Donnelly has been elected chairman of the newly-appointed committee of the Canterbury Jockey Club, to succeed Mr A. S. Elworthy, at a meeting subsequent to the annual meeting of members. Mr D. E. Wanklyn was appointed to act as deputy chairman during the visit to England of Mr Donnelly, whose resignation as treasurer, to which he was elected unopposed, was accepted. The new treasurer is Mr D. W. J. Gould. Mr Elworthy, who retired after 15 years in the chair, was elected a life member.
