For the month of May at the port of Westport the customs returns with the figures for the same month last year in parentheses, were as follows: Customs £1034 Is 2d (£923 9s), beer duty £1639 10s (£13 KC ? 6s 9d), sales tax £1520 13s 3d (£1664 2s sd); total £4194 4s 5d (£3945 18s 2d).
