AUCKLAND, June 1. Commenting on the attitude of the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, to his recent sermon concerning alleged moral decline of Maori people, Rev E. Blackwood Moore said: ‘I could give the Prime Minister specific instances, but I am more inclined to ask him to publish the statistics regarding crime and the Maori race before and after the introduction of Social Security. I could give Mr Fraser the name of my informant regarding in-breed-ing He is an estimable man, and i do not wish to see him victimised. Since my sermon I have had communications from all over the North Island assuring me that what I stated is true. One man told me lie had been teaching Maoris for 25 years, and had been sacked for saying the same thing”.
