Gandhi’s Son Against Full Franchise
DURBAN, May 31, Delegates at the Natal Indian Congress jeered at Mr Manila! Gandhi, son of the murdered Mahatma, when he said that non-Europeans in South Africa were not ready for government. If they were given the full franchise, government could not be carried out.
Mr Gandhi asked the congress to refuse to support a proposed national convention, which demanded the full franchise for all the peoples of South Africa.
