When a tree fell across telephone lines at Ahaura yesterday morning communication between Greymouth and Blenheim, Wellington and Nelson,. was interrupted. Normal transmission was restored at 10.45 a.m. Messages were sent via Christchurch until the obstruction had been cleared.
