Airways passengers were: For Auckland, Miss J. E. Dawer; for Wellington, Messrs G. Murray, T. F. Oakley, Gavin, Misses B. Yeoman and E. Parker. The funeral of Aijnie Cecilia Reid left St. Canice’s Church at 2. n m. on Saturday for Orowaiti Cemetery, many friends and relatives being present. The Rev. Father E. Paelan conducted', the service at the graveside. The bearers were Messrs J. Knight, D. Knight, E. Currie and R. McKay. . - Mr H. S. K. Kent, tutor in adult education, has . lectured during the week in Denniston and Ngakawau on the European recovery programme. Further lectures will be given by Mr Kent in Seddonville, Millerton, Stockton and Karamea. Mr Kent will leave the Buller area next Wednesday for Reefton and Waiuta before going to Maruia Springs Hostel to direct this year’s winter school conducted by the Adult Education Department of Canterbury University College. Mr Kent’s next visit to the Buller district will be* in July. He intends bringing with him a sound' film projector to illustrate his lectures with documentary films.
