Bellona’s Cruise to Islands
WELLINGTON, May 30. H.M.N.Z.S. Bellona (Captain D. Hammersley- Johnston) will leave Auckland on June 17 for the Hauraki Gulf for exercises prior to sailing for Suva an June 24. Bellona is expected to arrive at Suva on June 28, and will embark the GovernorGeneral (Sir Bernard Freyberg, V.C.) and Lady Freyberg on July 2 for a cruise to Tonga and New Zealand island territories. Bellona will make calls at Nukualofa, Raratonga, Mauke, Atiu, Aitutaki, Niue, and Apia, and will return tn Suva on July 22 to disembark the Vice-Regal party. The vessel will then leave Suva on July 24 to complete the training cruise, and will call at Nandi, Kaudavu, Levuka, and explore islands in the Fijian group, Vavau and Nukualofa, before arriving back at Auckland on August 18.
