When her husband skyrockets to fame and fortune on a sudden wave of popularity and promotion, she finds all responsibility as a wife and mother taken from her. In the ensuing loneliness and frustration, she takes to drink. The tortures of alcohol and aonscience-conflict involve her in poignant situations which lead to a heart-stirring climax and, eventually; her domestic happiness.
