The death occurred at Karamea on Wednesday evening of Mr David Harry, a well-known and highlyrespected resident of the district. He was 50 years of age and was a native of Wales. He leaves besides his wife, two daughters. The sympathy of the community is extended to the family in their loss. The funeral of Mr Harry Shaw, of Granity, took place on Wednesday at Orowati Cemetery. The Rev. Father Phelan, of Westport, conducted the service at St. Joseph’ Church, Granity, and at the graveside. The pallbearers were four of the sons of the deceased, Messrs H. J., J., A. and F. Shaw. There was a large attendance of relatives and of friends. Numerous floral tributes were an evidence cf respect and high esteem in which the deceased was held.
