BOXING Mullet for South Africa ?
WELLINGTON, April 15. Don Mullett, the New _ Zealand heavyweight boxing champion, today cabled the Natal Sporting and Boxing Club, Durban, which is. seeking an option on him for a visit to South Africa, stating that he is ready to make the trip if the terms are right. ■ , . Mullett’s reply suggests a certain guarantee for his first contest with the option of a percentage of the taking ' together with conditions covering such matters as transportation. He has also expressed a desire for additional bouts in the event of his initial showing being regarded as satisfactory. Mullett is acting on the adv,ice of both his trainer, Steve Havill, and Tom Maguire, the manager of the Australian triple champion, Dave Sands.
