L.R.C. in Canterbury Fails to Keep Rules

CHRISTCHURCH, April 14.

After a discussion concerning the rules to be followed and the requirement of delegates for admission to L.R.C. meetings, the secretary of the Canterbury L.R.C., Mr A. B. Grant admitted that for over twelve months the constitution had not been followed. The roll had not been called, nor had delegates been required to sign the. appropriate pledge as called for by the constitution. Mr McCaw voiced the motion, which was carried, that in future the rules should be adhered to. He said there was at present no check on union delegates, who may hold political opinions contrary to Labour, nor was there any check on visitors.
