SYDNEY POLICE VOTE TO LINK UP WITH TRADES COUNCIL

SYYDNEY. April 14

The New South Wales Police Association at its conference, decided today. by 22 votes to 21 to seek affiliation with the Trades and Labour Council. The decision was reached after a nine hour debate.

The speakers against the motion claimed that, as members of the Trades and Labour Council, the police would be forced into strikes, and would be influenced in carrying out their duties.

The opponents also said that the affiliation would split the force from top to bottom.
