Coal Exports

During the month of March, 17,637 tons S cwt. of coal was railed from Westport, to the east coast, that amount coming from the following mines: Westport 3759 tons 10 cwt.; Stockton 9665 tons 14 cwt.; Coal Creek 60 tons 4 cwt.; Cascade 595 tons 7 cwt.; Charming Creek 558 tons 4 cwt.; Cardiff 146 tons 17 cwt.; Hapny Valley 610 tons 4 cwt.; Burley-Paine 497 tons 8 cwt.; Charleston 1744 tons.

The coal railed to Greymouth totalled 6606 tons, coming from the following mines: Westport, 9117 tons 1 cwt.; Stockton 4433 tons 10 cwt.; Coal Creek 64 tons G cwt.; Charming Creek 255 tons 3 cwt.; Native Brown 906 tons.
