MINERS’ LUCKY ESCAPE AT DOBSON

When three men slipped off a trolly which was conveying them to the surface, at the ‘ conclusion of yesterday’s day shift at the Dobson State mine, about 3.30 p.m., they had a fortunate escape from serious injury. They were caught between the trolley and some pipes. One of the men, Arthur George Cleghorn, aged 38 years, of 118 Reid street Blaketown, received a leg injury, which necessitated his admittance to the Grey River Hospital. Last night his condition was reported to be satisfactory. The other two men escaped wnn minor abrasions, and after medical treatment at the mine, returned to their homes.
