HOKITIKA NOTES

(Our own Correspondent) HOKITIKA, April 12 The death occurred at the Westland Hospital of Mr Edward Rochford of Three Mile, Hokitika .aged 55 years. The late Mr Rochford was a native of Dillmanstown and had been in ill heath for the past few months. Il r followed sawmilling for many years in the Kumara district and thn>,joined the Public Works Department. Later he went on the staff of the Arahura dredge, until ill health forced him to retire. Besides his wife, he leaves one son, Mr Edward Rochford of Three Miles: three sisters. Mesdames M. McMnllan and M. Roberts (Hokitika) and Vincent (Blaketown) and two brother’s, Thomas (Jacob's River) and Nicholas (Blenheim).
