Trans-Tasman Flights This Week and Next by Two Companies
AUCKLAND, April 11. Four Tasman charter flights during the coming week have been aranged by Tasman Empire Airways. They will be made on tomorrow Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. A statement issued by thg company said that Trans-Australian Airlines would make the first two flights and Australian National Airways the other two. For the following week a further two trips by Australian National Airways, on Thursday and Friday have been arranged, and, if possible, these flights will be augmented by the other airline. After April 26 it is expected that the former company will fly six charter flights weekly. The trans-Australian planes will arrive at Whenuapai at the normal time, about 7.30 a.m. and will leave two hours later. The time-table for the other flights is not yet known, although it is likely to be approximately the same. All of the flights will be made by Skymaster aircraft.
