TRANSFER OF CONTROL TO CIVILIANS IN TRIESTE
TRIESTE, April 8 The Allied Military Government announced that it would commence the transfer of a limited amount of power to local civilian hands on April 12. The statement added that the Allied Military Government, would retain the functions relating to public safety. The Communists would not take part in the new agreement.
