Strongman Mine’s Record Week

In its first week under the seven-hour day, the Strongman State mine this week established a record output for any ore week since the mine commenced operations, stated officials of the State Miners’ Union last night. Since Monday, 2657 tons of coal had been produced, an average of 561 tons daily. This far exceeds the previous best week’s output for the mine. When the present shortage of trucks is overcome, Union officials are confident that the week’s fine record can be exceeded.
