DISTANCE OF AWAPUNI BIG RACE WILL SUIT DARK ARROW
The Manawatu Racing Club’s meeting will conclude at Awapuni tomorrow. Although Dark Arrow finished out of the money last Saturday, his was Quite a good performance to be sixth at the judge. There is no doubt he is at home over a ten furlong journey, and although the class is strong he should take a hand in the iinisn. Betting will be under the win and place system, and the following horses may show up. Kaere Hack Hurdles: Craven Gyration, Master Guard. Trial Maiden Plate, Gay Fellow, Gratuity, Bouton d’Or. Awapuni Gold Cup: King’s Ransom, Langue d’Or. Woodhey Hack: Trafalgar Day, Gay Stitches, Indian Song. Manawatu Sires’ Produce Stakes: Vadoz, Buchanan, Blue Spec. Tamatete Handicap: Dark Arrow, Selas, Atomic. Longburn Handicap: Zealander. The Pagan, Sea Fury. Te Matai Hack: Mine Host. Commercial, Lord Holland.
