PERSONNEL OF THE TRIBUNAL
P.A. WELLINGTON, April S It was announced to-day by the Minister of Labour, the Hon. A. .McLagan, that the chairman of the Tribunal to deal with the Mangakino dispute would be Judge Dalglish, and the Government’s representative, Mr F. M. H. Hanson. The union representative was not yet known. Mr CcLagan said the tribunal would deal with all phases of the dispute concerning the. proposed transfer of Mr Clapham. The tribunal had been appointed on the usual condition that both parties concerned accepted its decision without question.
MONEY FOR STRIKERS
WELLINGTON, April 8. Contributions from unions and sympathisers are now flowing into the office of the Federation of Labour in response to its appeal for lhe Mangakino workers. The Federation announced last night the following con-tributions:-—New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union, £100; Auckland Drivers’ Union, £150; Auckland Gas Workers’ Union, £l5; Mark Silverstone, Dunedin, £l5; Auckland Electrical Workers’ Union, £25; New Plymouth branch of Waterside Workers’ Union, £45 ss; New Zealand Federation of Labour, £500; New Zealand Seamen's Union, £10; Wellington Drivers’ Union £lOO,
